October 21, 2017 - CANet Symposium - Arrhythmia Care In The Community

During the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC 2017), the Cardiac Arrhythmia Network of Canada (CANet) will be host to a unique symposium titled Arrhythmia Care in the Community.

The symposium brings together community cardiologists across Canada to discuss:
    • The network's research programs
    • Arrhythmia patient needs in the community
    • Collaboration between academic researchers and community care providers
    • Opportunities for future research programs

All site personnel listed on your delegated task list (DTL) must be trained on the new protocol version 12.1.

Please retain the original “study personnel training log” for your records and submit a copy or scan to the Clinical Coordinating Centre by email or fax (403-210-8140) as proof of training.

October 13, 2016 - CANet Funding Awarded

We are pleased to announce that our application to the Cardiac Arrhythmia Network of Canada’s (CANet) Research Grant program has been approved for funding!

June 20, 2016 - Study Relaunch

We are delighted to inform you that we have secured alternate funding for REFINE ICD via partnerships with GE Healthcare, Medtronic of Canada, AHS and the CIHR in order to resume the trial.
Furthermore, we are pursuing funding from the Cardiac Arrhythmia Network of Canada - Network of Centres of Excellence (CANet-NCE). We are therefore reopening the study for enrollment and randomization on Monday, June 20th, 2016.
The trial will continue in Canada and selected sites in Europe and the Middle East.
We want to take this opportunity and thank you for your continuing support and efforts for the REFINE ICD study.
